To protect minors from experiencing potential online threats, we have set a few account restrictions placed for legal reasons.
As per our Terms of Service (TOS), when it comes to having an account, you must be at least 18 years old. When you open an account with us, you automatically agree to a binding legal contract. When you are involved in a binding legal contract, this means you are of legal contract age, which is required prior to creating an account. The legal contract age is 18 years old, commonly accepted in most jurisdictions.
Users under 13 years old are automatically not permitted to use our services. For those who want to access an account, we permit minors at least 13 years old as long as the account is owned by and registered under the name of a legal parent or a guardian.
All account activity must be monitored and supervised by a parent or a legal guardian who owns the account. They are responsible for any and all of their minor’s actions, especially any financial obligations done by the minor using their account.
To ensure parents and legal guardians are responsible for their account:
- All registration and contact information must belong to them that own the existing account.
- All financial information added to the account, like payment or payout information, including debit cards, credit cards, prepaid cards, bank accounts, or even PayPal accounts, must belong to them.
- All purchases and items listed by minors must be monitored and done under their supervision as account owners.
- All verification or identity or tax information provided by SOSILE E-COMMERCE LTD must belong to them as owners of the account.
Once an account is detected to be owned and operated by a minor, actions will be implemented right away, such as account suspension, limitation, or termination. On a lighter note, these accounts can be reopened once the minor reaches the legal age of 18. In this case, minors are asked to verify their identity and accept our Terms of Service.
